We're posting this because:
1) Bird watching was considered a sport at least through the 1960s
2) It's just too damn funny not to share.
Yes, we too have questioned the presence of the boom operator when the reporter is using a stick and why there's no footage of the anchor(s) from the news set.
Sometimes you have to have faith in something.
